Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS)
Achieving maximum relief with minimum disruption to your body. Walk on the same day, recover faster, and get back to your life.
"The days of large incisions and long hospital stays are over. By using advanced tubular retractors, we can slide past your muscles instead of cutting them. This completely changes the recovery experience for my patients."
Is this right for you?
You might be a candidate for this procedure if you are experiencing:
- Severe, shooting pain down your leg or arm that hasn't responded to medications or physical therapy.
- Numbness or tingling in your extremities.
- Difficulty walking or standing for extended periods due to spinal stenosis.
How I Perform This Surgery
Unlike traditional open surgery, I use a small incision (often less than an inch). I insert a series of tubular retractors that gently separate the muscles rather than cutting them. Through this small tube, using a high-definition microscope, I have a perfectly clear, illuminated view of the nerve root to safely remove the pressure.
