Surgical Innovation
Pioneering the adoption of motion-preserving spine surgery in Western India.
"The goal of modern spine surgery is not simply to relieve pain—it is to achieve the required treatment while preserving as much of the spine’s natural function and movement as possible. Treat the disease. Preserve what is healthy."
Motion Preservation
These procedures are designed, in appropriately selected patients, to remove the diseased disc while preserving movement at the operated spinal segment, rather than automatically eliminating motion through fusion.
- Cervical Disc Replacement (CDR): Replacing damaged discs in the neck with advanced artificial implants (e.g. Mobi-C) to maintain range of motion.
- Lumbar Disc Replacement (LDR): Artificial disc replacement in the lower back for select cases of degenerative disc disease.
Is it right for you?
Every patient does not require motion-preserving surgery. Fusion is still the gold standard for many conditions.
Factors We Consider
- Patient age and bone quality (osteoporosis is a contraindication)
- Presence of spinal instability (spondylolisthesis)
- Severe facet joint arthritis
- Overall spinal alignment and biomechanics
